Paul Bennett has many struggles his first year as a teacher—lazy students, indifferent students, rebellious students, flirtatious students, irate parents, indifferent parents and indifferent faculty members. Bennett's biggest struggle, however, is within himself: "Am I doing any good as a teacher?" he asks. "Should I quit and go into some other work?"
